We are seeking a Lead Process Engineer with solid expertise in energy generation and
transformation systems.The selected candidate will lead the development, optimisation and integration of process designs for traditional energy facilities, ensuring compliance with technical
standards, safety guidelines, environmental regulations and project specifications.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and review of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping &
Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). - Perform mass and energy balances, heat integration studies and
thermodynamic evaluations. - Define, size and specify major equipment:
o Heat exchangers
o Boilers
o Pumps
o Turbines
o Separators
o Combustion and thermal equipment - Conduct process simulations using Thermoflow and other specialised tools.
- Optimise systems for efficiency, reliability, operability and environmental
performance. - Evaluate alternative process configurations and propose improvements.
- Lead process engineering activities across project phases (FEED, basic and
detailed engineering). - Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and reviewers.
- Coordinate with mechanical, piping, instrumentation and safety engineering
teams. - Support HAZOP/HAZID reviews and ensure alignment with safety requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications and data sheets for procurement.
- Ensure designs meet international standards and client specifications.
- Contribute to design reviews, vendor clarification meetings and engineering
deliverables.
