Las ofertas de trabajo para ingenieros y perfiles t\u00e9cnicos no paran de crecer. Y al mismo tiempo, las aulas de ingenier\u00eda se vac\u00edan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No es una sensaci\u00f3n. Es un patr\u00f3n documentado que afecta a Espa\u00f1a \u2014y, en distinta medida, a toda Europa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Los n\u00fameros que incomodan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el curso 2002\u20132003, los estudiantes de ingenier\u00eda representaban el 24% del total universitario. En 2024\u20132025, apenas alcanzan el 16,98%. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.datacenterdynamics.com\/es\/noticias\/la-brecha-de-talento-tecnologico-en-espana-un-obstaculo-para-la-competitividad-y-el-crecimiento-economico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Data Center Dynamics<\/a> Una ca\u00edda de casi ocho puntos en dos d\u00e9cadas, justo cuando la econom\u00eda digital despega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El resultado es predecible: Espa\u00f1a necesitar\u00eda 20.000 nuevos ingenieros al a\u00f1o para sostener su crecimiento, pero solo egresan 12.008. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.datacenterdynamics.com\/es\/noticias\/la-brecha-de-talento-tecnologico-en-espana-un-obstaculo-para-la-competitividad-y-el-crecimiento-economico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Data Center Dynamics<\/a> Casi la mitad de lo necesario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Y los que se grad\u00faan no siempre se quedan. El ingeniero espa\u00f1ol est\u00e1 bien formado, pero en Europa cobran tres veces m\u00e1s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.datacenterdynamics.com\/es\/noticias\/la-brecha-de-talento-tecnologico-en-espana-un-obstaculo-para-la-competitividad-y-el-crecimiento-economico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Data Center Dynamics<\/a>, advierte Joan Franco, presidente de la patronal Tecniberia. La brecha salarial hace el resto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>No es solo un problema espa\u00f1ol<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Comisi\u00f3n Europea estima que la UE necesita dos millones m\u00e1s de profesionales en ciencia e ingenier\u00eda. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.informeticplus.com\/el-reto-de-las-vocaciones-stem-del-sistema-educativo-al-desarrollo-del-talento-digitales-y-edelvives\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">InformeTICfacil.com<\/a> El presidente de la Universidad T\u00e9cnica de Eindhoven lo resume con crudeza: incluso si se duplicara el n\u00famero de egresados, no ser\u00eda suficiente. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.informeticplus.com\/el-reto-de-las-vocaciones-stem-del-sistema-educativo-al-desarrollo-del-talento-digitales-y-edelvives\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">InformeTICfacil.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En Europa, casi la mitad de las empresas tienen dificultades para contratar perfiles con las habilidades STEM que necesitan. <a href=\"https:\/\/directivosygerentes.es\/digital\/deficit-talento-tecnologico-espana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Directivosygerentes<\/a> En Espa\u00f1a, m\u00e1s del 40% no logra cubrir puestos de software, inteligencia artificial o ciberseguridad. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.randstadresearch.es\/stem-y-perfiles-mas-demandados\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Randstad Research<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 ocurre esto?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tres factores se repiten en todos los an\u00e1lisis:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Primero, la tasa de abandono en carreras de ingenier\u00eda ronda el 50% <a href=\"https:\/\/grupocoloniecm.com\/2026\/02\/23\/empleo-en-espana-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grupocoloniecm<\/a>, y el relato social que rodea a estas carreras \u2014\u00bbson muy dif\u00edciles\u00bb, \u00abno tienen vida social\u00bb\u2014 aleja vocaciones antes de que se formen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Segundo, los conocimientos adquiridos en carreras t\u00e9cnicas tienen una vigencia de entre 3 y 5 a\u00f1os antes de quedar parcialmente obsoletos <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sepe.es\/HomeSepe\/es\/que-es-el-sepe\/comunicacion-institucional\/publicaciones\/publicaciones-oficiales\/listado-pub-mercado-trabajo\/El-mercado-de-trabajo-en-el-sector-stem.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SEPE<\/a>, lo que genera un desajuste entre lo que se aprende y lo que las empresas necesitan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tercero, la fuga de talento: quienes s\u00ed se forman, emigran o son absorbidos por multinacionales que pagan muy por encima del mercado local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>La paradoja, en una l\u00ednea<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La demanda de ingenieros nunca fue tan alta. El n\u00famero de ingenieros form\u00e1ndose, nunca tan bajo.
