DEFINITION OF TASKS, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking to fill the position of a Subcontracts Manager in our Madrid offices.
This person will not only manage subcontracts but will also take charge of the entire subcontracts department..
The position we are looking to fill is for a Coordinator or Head of Subcontracts Management, reporting directly to the Construction Director. The position is based in Madrid, but it requires travel to our project sites.
Requirements for the position include:
- Degree: A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in subcontract management within the Oil & Gas industry.
- High level of English.
- Knowledge of contracts, regulations, policies, and laws related to construction processes and projects.
- Previous experience leading teams in EPC projects.
Main responsibilities:
- Reporting on subcontract cost overruns and delays (complaints, change orders, required variations, and cost increases).
- Constantly seeking ways to minimize subcontract costs.
- Ensuring that the terms set out in the subcontracts are properly adhered to.
- Reviewing and monitoring any actions related to subcontractors.
- Ensuring all correspondence with subcontractors is up to date.
- Ensuring that information handled with subcontractors is kept strictly confidential.
- Continuously improving subcontract management methods to minimize risks and costs.
- Conducting statistical tracking, cost analysis, and productivity analysis for each subcontract.
- Preparing monthly subcontract reports.
Although these duties are for a Subcontracts Manager, the goal is for this person to be in charge of the entire department. We are looking for someone who is ready to take the next step and become the Head of Subcontracts.
