Code coverage and API coverage for Androids’ Core Java Libraries
Contribute to efforts to increase the Java API and line coverage by tests in Android to meet
the coverage requirements for Project Mainline and public API. Gaps in coverage are known
through internal dashboards. This work requires integrating tests from upstream sources,
such as the OpenJDK and Bouncycastle, and writing tests using the JUnit and TestNG
frameworks when required to raise coverage.
Successful execution will involve the following tasks:

1. Investigating and using upstream sources that may have tests that will extend
coverage of Android’s Core Java Libraries (OpenJDK, Bouncycastle, Apache Harmony,
and others).

2. Writing API and line coverage tests

Highly proficient with Java, JUnit/TestNG,
Linux, bash and git. Familiarity with C/C++,
along with a solid understanding of the JNI
Specification and Java and native I/O. Must be
comfortable using Linux as a developer
platform.
